Hinge for door of cupboard or room or container is easily adapted to enable door to be opened by swinging inwards or outwards. A folding door has the two parts hinged together by special hinges which enable the door to be opened by swinging it either inwards or outwards. Each hinge consists of two bars (7, 8) with each bar having a lug at each end. Each bar extends across the width of the door and has each end fastened to the door. Each lug has a hole for a vertical hinge pin and by inserting the hinge pins in the holes at the appropriate ends of the bars the door can be opened by swinging inwards or outwards.
